Trastevere has become a tourist area, especially in the evening, but retains the charm of its old streets. There are plenty of bars and restaurants. You can find a few hotels and accommodation from around 80€ per night. On the eastern side of Viale Trastevere, the neighborhood is much quieter. There is also a pleasant setting going up towards the Janiculan hill and with the charming district of Monteverde vecchio, near the San Pancrazio Gate and the large public park of the Villa Pamphilj. Establishments are rarer, and more expensive, usually from 100 €. At the foot of the hill, in the other part of Monteverde, there are also cheaper accommodations, but the environment is less friendly.
