To visit on Saturdays, Sundays and public holidays, reservations are mandatory at least the day before for some museums and archaeological sites.
In addition, reservation is mandatory for some museums or sites, even on weekdays, such as the Colosseum, the Roman Forum and Palatine, the Borghese Gallery, the Mausoleum of Augustus and the archaeological excavations of the Valentini/Domus Romane Palace

- Admission to the museums, monuments, galleries and archaeological areas of the Italian state is free for all citizens under 18 years. For EU citizens aged 18 to 25, the ticket is €2. (similar concessions for citizens of countries applying for “reciprocity”).
- Admission to the museums, monuments, galleries and archaeological areas of the Rome Museum System is free for all citizens of the European Union under 6.
- Access to transport on the territory of the municipality of Rome is free for children under 10 years, if they are accompanied by an adult who paid for access.
