As an international tourism capital, Rome is not affordable. Rates vary by season and time of year.
Beds in hostels cost at least 30€ per night. The most economical hotels, including convents, nearly 50 € and are mostly close to Termini station, while to stay in the center in a comfortable establishment it is easy to spend more than 100 € per night, 150 € in high season.
